What the Plugin Does
Zsoogi Clipper is an administrator-only WordPress plugin. It creates a private custom post type visible only to users with the manage_options capability (site administrators). Non-logged-in visitors and non-administrator users cannot view, search, or access any Zsoogi Clips content.
Data Collected by the Plugin
The plugin does not collect, transmit, or share any data from your WordPress site or its visitors. All content captured via the bookmarklet (URLs, titles, selected text, images) is stored only in your own WordPress database under your control.
The bookmarklet runs entirely in the administrator's browser and communicates only with their own WordPress installation. No data is sent to zsoogiclipper.com or any third-party server.
YouTube Thumbnails
When clipping a YouTube page, the plugin fetches the video thumbnail directly from img.youtube.com. This request is made by the administrator's browser and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
GDPR & Privacy Compliance
Because Zsoogi Clipper stores content only for the site administrator and exposes no data to visitors, it does not introduce any personal data processing obligations under GDPR or similar regulations for your site visitors.
